Cabana x Casa Mãe

When we got to know the Casa Mãe in 2015 we were immediately curious about the hotel project that had not yet opened its doors in Lagos. Its original concept and the aim of valuing everything that was local seemed to us the perfect recipe for this hotel unit created by the French Veronique Polaert and the German Christian Kraus. Even before the inauguration, the magazine Casa Mãe - The Journey was launched by the hotel to share "the stories of all the people who became part of Casa Mãe and helped us to make our vision a reality", as mentioned in the editorial of publication.
The simple and timeless design of the hotel, the attention to detail, the focus on local products and the great focus on gastronomy make Casa Mãe the perfect place to visit Lagos and the starting point to explore this part of the Algarve.
The Casa Mãe Shop it's the meeting point of all the influences of the hotel, a place where we can discover pieces of Portuguese designers and craftsmen, in celebration of the contemporary national creativity. Through an invitation from Veronique, Cabana and Casa Mãe end up joining at hotel's shop in a pop-up where you can see (and purchase) Cabana's own collection of products, including the tote bag, recipe box, rolling pins and The New Voyager in Lisbon.
